Underground club scenes in Taiwan and China explored in new documentary series

A new documentary series dives into the underground techno club scenes of Taiwan and China.

BPM ECSTASY: The Techno Wave Between Taipei and Beijing explores the techno communities of the two cities which have been struggling in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. The four-part docuseries, directed by Olivier Richard, features DJs like SUNK, tamiX and Elvis. T, among others,

“This project promises to provide deep insights into the power of music, showcasing its ability to unify and bring people together”, TaiwanPlus producer David Kao said in a press statement.

The TaiwanPlus and ARTE production will premiere on TaiwanPlus this Sunday, 11th November, with a wider European release via ARTE from the 14th.
