Ultra Naté shares new single, ‘Miracle’, from forthcoming ‘Ultra’ album: Listen

Ultra Naté has released a new single, ‘MIRACLE’. The track is taken from her forthcoming album, ‘ULTRA’, which due to be released in the coming months. Check it out below.

Speaking about the track, Ultra Naté said: “‘MIRACLE’ is a multi layered theme for me, it speaks to my spirituality, recognising God in all of us. It is self-awareness and a proclamation of self-love for women. At the same time it is very specifically a political statement for Black women, who for generations, have been maligned and marginalised for the colour of our skin.”

“It is no secret that the world is structured in a way that forces us to do more, work harder, be above reproach, and always flawless in order to be equal. Writing this song and tapping into the Afro rhythms of the track inspired me to have this conversation, which is so fitting for my self-titled album, ‘ULTRA’, because these are issues that are close to my heart,” she continued. “It’s important to be authentic and speak my truth in this moment, because that is the power of music and how it unites us all.

The track and new LP coincide with the 25th anniversary of Ultra Naté’s seminal single, ‘Free’, which became an anthem of LGBTQIA+ liberation after it was broken by US house music don Louie Vega at the Miami Winter Music Conference. It is widely considered one of the defining dance tunes of the 1990s.

2022 also marks the artist’s 30th year in the music industry. Two of her early records — ‘Blue Notes In the Basement’ and ‘One Woman’s Insanity’ — are being remastered and released on digital platforms for the first time to celebrate, with music videos to the classic tracks ‘It’s Over Now’ and ‘Is It Love’ now digitised and debuting online via the Warner Music Group site, Rhino. Meanwhile, ‘MIRACLE’ is available to play or buy now.
