News

UK Black Pride is putting on a special Halloween event at London’s Village Underground at the end of this month.

Scheduled for Saturday, 30th October, Halloqweens is UK Black Pride’s very first Halloween event. Taking place from 10pm until 5am, it will see the organisation return to the venue that hosted their last in-person afterparty before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organisation says that it hopes “Halloqweens will provide a space for and by LGBTQI+ people of colour to celebrate Halloween, dressed to impress in the ways only our communities know how”.

A number of performers and dancers will be joining the celebrations on the night, while there will be DJ sets from A.G, Tayylor Made, Basmati, Fiyahdred (FKA Bamz), DJ Biggie C, Lady Shaka and Malika Green.

UK Black Pride, an annual event, is Europe’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent.

You can find out more, and get a ticket, via UK Black Pride’s website.
