The UK’s first drive-in raves after lockdown to announce dates and line-ups this weekend

The UK’s first drive-in raves after COVID-19 lockdown will announce dates and line-ups this weekend.

Earlier this year, a series of drive-in raves were announced for the UK this summer, with the events are set to take place in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Now, the event, hosted by Electrikal Sound System — a 50kw custom-built soundsystem that has played at events including Boomtown Fair Street Party, Belladrum’s Temple of Dub, and Outlook and Dimensions in Croatia, and TimeWarp, has revealed the first three dates will take place in Bristol.

Further details and dates, as well as venue announcements and first three line-ups, will be announced this weekend. Find out more about the event here.

Several clubs in Germany hosted “drive-in raves” in May as a way of circumventing lockdown restrictions.
