Teklife’s DJ Lucky and DJ Manny link up for new single and video, ‘WAR’: Watch

Teklife affiliates DJ Lucky and DJ Manny have linked up for a new single and video. You can check out ‘WAR’ below. 

The clip features The Era, a celebrated Chicago footwork dance crew. The collective – founded by Chief Manny, Litebulb, Steelo, Dempsey, and DJ Jody Breeze – have previously performed at institutions including London’s Barbican and SXSW.

The release comes just months after DJ Lucky was hit by a jeep travelling at 45 miles per hour, suffering knee, back and head injuries. A fundraiser is ongoing to pay for rehabilitation and treatment costs.

Teklife and its affiliates have a number of events coming up. The schedule starts with RP Boo, SPINN, HEAVEE, The Era and Jalen at Empty Bottle, Chicago, on Friday 27th December 2024. Then on 29th December, the Era host a New Years Listening Session at Classick Studios, also in the Windy City. 

Finally, SPINN and TRAXMAN play European dates early next year, including Amsterdam Melkweg, Version Berlin, Bucharest and Venue MOT in London. All shows take place in February 2025, with names such as Loefah, Fuuture Jazz, Orson, and DJ Flounce joining. You can find full details here.
