Sicaria Sound share new EP, '5th Gear / Quondam': Listen

Sicaria Sound have released a new two-track EP, ‘5th Gear / Quondam’.

Out now on their own CONFiDANCE imprint, the EP, which is their second release, follows on from March’s four-track ‘Binate’ EP, which marked the first music the duo had officially released.

This latest release is said to pick up where the tracks on ‘Binate’ left off and is fuelled by the duo’s shared North / East African and Arab heritage. The tracks, a press release says, fuse “sonic direction from the music of Morocco, South Sudan and from [the duo’s] Ndeko’s childhood in West Africa with the low-end and perc driven sounds Sicaria Sound have become known for”.
