SHERELLE’S BEAUTIFUL announces Studio One fundraiser event to continue supporting new talent

SHERELLE’s BEAUTIFUL platform is set to host a fundraising event at The Carpet Shop in Peckham next month.

The STUDIO ONE fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, 4th December, at the south-east London venue to raise money for the BEAUTIFUL Studio, which has helped nurture emerging black and queer electronic talent since its inception in 2021.

The night – powered by Relentless’ Freeform – will feature DJ sets from the likes of BEAUTIFUL’s own Emerald and Mr. Redley, alongside BEAUTIFUL contributors Loraine James, Lil’ C and George Riley. Tickets for the event cost just £5 and are available here.

The BEAUTIFUL platform provides vital exhibitions and workshops to emerging producers and DJs from Black and LGBTQI+ communities, as well as offering free studio time and resources to artists at its North London studio space.

In 2021, the initiative also released an acclaimed compilation mixtape, ‘BEAUTIFUL PRESENTS: BEAUTIFUL VOL 1’, featuring 21 artists “pushing the boundaries of Black electronic music”. SHERELLE cited labels such as Juke Bounce Werk, Haus Of Altr, 2000 Black and AKO Beats as her inspiration for the platform.

Last week, SHERELLE teamed up with Clipz on a new 160bpm anthem, ‘MEET ME AT THE TEMPLE’. It was first played during SHERELLE’s closing set at Glastonbury stage The Temple in June of this year.
