Secretsundaze announces live ensemble show at London's Southbank Centre
London promoter Secretsundaze will celebrate 20 years of parties with a live ensemble show at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall later this year.
Taking place on 7th October, the event will see a vocalist and live band come together to recreate 20 of the party’s key tunes from over the years. The band will include Secretsundaze co-founder James Priestley on MPC, FX and keys, in addition to musicians such as Johnny Brierley (bass), Myele Manzanza (drums), Lewis Moody (keys), and Oli Savill (percussion).
In a statement, Secretsundaze’s other co-founder Giles Smith said: “We selected 20 foundational tracks from two decades of DJing at Secretsundaze as a basis to work from. These records have been reimagined through the lens of various other genres with a stand-out collective of musicians and will be performed live at the Queen Elizabeth Hall for the first time.”
Among the tracks set to be performed live is Photek and Robert Smith’s 2000 collaboration ‘Mine To Give’, which has been re-recorded by the band with vocalist from future soul artist Wayne Snow. The track is out now, and is the first of a number of singles to come from the Spirit Of Sundaze Ensemble. An album will also follow sometime in 2023.

At the start of this year, Secretsundaze confirmed plans to mark 20 years of parties with a series of special club events taking in guests such as Jeremy Underground and Galcher Lustwerk, among many others.
