sbk releases debut mixtape, 'Nothing Lasts Forever': listen

sbk has released his debut mixtape.

The Stevenage-born, London-based MC, who has collaborated with the likes of JME and Boy Better Know, Novelist and Wiley, steps away from grime on ‘Nothing Last Forever’, exploring trap-leaning melodies and experimental instrumentals. Mostly self-produced, the mixtape also features guest production from stateside producers in the form of Whyzoo, Steve Thats It & BlackMayo.

“The project shows a newly found aggressive side to sbk’s personality, as well as a soft, meaningful scope of his current paradigm,” the press release reads. “sbk suffers from a rare disorder called HPPD from drug use in his adolescence, and he expresses the impact this has on his life on the record, often touching on his thoughts of suicide and expressing how he feels ‘unreal’.”

You can listen to ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’ and watch the video for the title track below, and purchase the mixtape via bandcamp.
