Saffron Records releases debut single from Marla Kether, ‘Revolve’: Listen

Marla Kether has released her debut solo single, ‘Revolve’.

Out now through Saffron Records, the track combines elements of deep house with samba percussion and vocals provided by Brownswood label affiliate Plumm. Kether is a musician and producer, who has previously worked as a session musician and bassist for artists including Loyle Carner and Obojangyar.

You can listen to the track below.

‘Revolve’ is the first cut to be unveiled from an EP, from which more tracks will be unveiled through this year ahead of a full release in the autumn. Forthcoming singles feature collaborations with Onipa frontman K.O.G., Solomon O.B. and Madeleine, the latter of whom plays keyboard in Arlo Parks’ band.

Responsible for Saffron Records’ first release of 2023, Kether formed a partnership with the label and collective after being part of Saffron’s 2021 to 2022 artist development roster.

Earlier this year, Saffron presented its 7 Days Of Sound programme, which saw the likes of rRoxymore, Elena Colombi and Manuka Honey put on digital workshops for women, non-binary, trans and gender-non-conforming artists.
