Ricardo Villalobos releases 40-minute remix of Ela Minus & DJ Python’s ‘Abril Lluvias Mil’: Listen

Ricardo Villalobos has released a 40-minute remix of Ela Minus & DJ Python’s ‘Abril Lluvias Mill’. Check it out below. 

The 40-minute remix of ‘Abril Lluvias Mill’ is included on Ela Minus & DJ Python’s new remix EP ‘♡ (Ricardo Villalobos Remixes)’ out now via Smugglers Way. The two-track release also features a 13-minute remix of ‘Kiss You’ by the Chilean-born, Germany-based techno producer and DJ.

Speaking on the release of the remixes, DJ Python said: “Villalobos is very meaningful to me since my teenage years. [We’re] too honoured to do something like this with him. [He’s] the Michael Jordan of music to my eyes.”

The original three-track EP ‘♡’ by Ela Minus & DJ Python was released in September last year via Smugglers Way. DJ Python created the instrumentals of the EP, primarily with an Octatrack sampler and a Virus TI Snow digital synth, while Minus wrote all of the lyrics and vocal melodies. 

Speaking on the inspiration for the EP, Ela Minus said: “It’s way more intimate and vulnerable. I want people to listen to the songs and feel like I’m holding onto them. I’m giving people a place in this EP where they can feel like they belong.”
