Redman and Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man and Raekwon deliver one-take cypher: Watch

Redman recently joined Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man and Raekown for a freestyle session.

The hip-hop legends reunited for the latest edition of Red Bull Spiral’s one-take cypher series, which has previously featured freestyles from the likes of Pusha T, Lonny Love, Mother Nature Coast The Contra, Cash Cobain and more.

“It’s not just about us. It’s about the culture of hip-hop”, Redman said in an interview about the cypher with Billboard. “We letting people know, we’re ’90s dudes, but we still got fire… You young cats, let me see how active you are when you’re 54 years old. Because I’m 54. People be like, ‘You 54?’ Yeah, I’m 54! I just take care of myself and I still body s–t. This gives us the opportunity to let that cultural vibe out to the world.”

To start the year, Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah released the ‘Set The Tone‘ LP, and in August, RZA released a classical ballet album with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The infamous Wu-Tang album ‘Once Upon A Time In Shaolin‘ that “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli exclusively bought for $2 million was publicly presented for the first time in a Tasmanian museum this past June. That same month, Shkreli was sued for allegedly copying and playing it for online audiences.
