Premiere: St. Amp ‘Drifting Off Centre’

St. Amp will release his debut EP, ‘Lyra Pad’, later this week on Dublin’s Reasons To Dance. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Drifting Off Centre’ below.

The London-based DJ and producer follows his appearance on the label’s 2023 ‘SUNROOM001’ compilation, as well as a track on the ‘By Hook or By Crook’ compilation on Sputnik One‘s N-Face, with three radiant dancefloor deconstructions. Brimming with vibrant melodies and a glossy rhythmic sheen, these tracks span dreamy dembow, blissed-out beat mutations and delicately euphoric house, all capped off with a remix from Will Hofbauer and a beefed-up club mix of the title track.

Speaking about the release, St. Amp said: “‘My debut EP is an exploration of the euphoric, melodic and whimsical sounds I was channeling a couple of years ago when I made ‘Lyra Pad’ in its first form. Finally finishing other tracks from that period and reworking the original ‘Lyra Pad’ was a nice way to expand on this sonic world and re-invigorate my interest in the more melodic side of dance music. Releasing music can feel so transient, as new stuff gets lost in the blink of an eye. This is my own little way of getting the most life out of a track that I can’

‘Lyra Pad’ is out 22nd November via Reasons To Dance. Pre-save the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Drifting Off Centre’ below.
