Premiere: Rachiid Paralyzing ‘Timba (Mega Génesis)’
Rachiid Paralyzing is set to release a new EP, ‘Mega Tempo Pt. III’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Timba’ below.
The Colombian DJ and producer brings his Mega Tempo trilogy series to an exhilarating close with five maximal club weapons, landing this Friday (25th April) on Artificio. Extending his deep love affair with rhythm, Rachiid Paralyzing mixes up elements of broken techno, bass, breaks, IDM and more across the project, culminating in the terse, body-moving grooves of ‘Timba (Mega Génesis)’ – premiering below.
“‘Timba’ is that track you want to drop at the peak of the party — the one you’d use to close out a stellar set, and at the same time, one you can simply sit back and admire,” Rachiid Paralyzing told DJ Mag. “It’s a track that will undoubtedly stand the test of time.”
The third and final instalment of the ‘Mega Tempo’ EP series arrives two years after it was launched by the Barranquilla-based artist as a platform to explore “maximal dance” sounds. In the meantime, Rachiid Paralyzing – real name Camilo Sanabria – has been busy behind the decks at parties across Colombia, including Rio Hostel’s annual bonanza and the latest Artificio club night, alongside label mates Pasq, Mística, Colit and more.
‘Mega Tempo Pt. III’ lands 25th April via Artificio. Pre-save the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Timba’ below.
Rachiid Paralyzing shone a light on tracks “with a unique and exceptional level of composition” for DJ Mag’s Selections series last year. You can revisit the feature here.
