Jessica Skye will release her sophomore album, ‘Fluō State 002’, later this week via Platoon. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Twelfth House’ below.

Drawing inspiration from her 14 year career teaching yoga by day and DJing by night, the London-born, LA-based artist delivers a collection of starry-eyed club sketches built for transcendent moments on the dancefloor. Landing 10th May during Mental Health Awareness month, and ahead of World Meditation Day on 21st May, ‘Fluō State 002’ finds Skye in her sonic element, looping together strands of melodic house and dreamy ambient with groove-focused club textures.

“People often think teaching yoga and DJing are two polarised paths but they are basically the same job,” Skye, who also works as a trainer for Apple Fitness+, shared. “Whether you are on the dancefloor or on your mat practising yoga, you are letting the music carry your energy, moving to the beat, and expressing yourself freely – and that’s what I wanted to explore with Fluō State 002.”

The second instalment of the wellness-inspired album series features the previously released singles ‘Enter Nyx’ and ‘Mindgames’, two of the LP’s more floor-focused cuts, and the enchanting ‘Tropic Of Pisces’, with its haze of iridescent pads and crescendoing synth lines. Amidst the record’s unreleased highlights is sweeping mid-track ‘Twelfth House’, which whisks listeners on a whimsical ambient journey, and the sound-bath inspired ‘Somnus City’, designed to act as a sonic Savasana (relaxation pose).

The first instalment of Skye’s ‘Fluō State’ series landed in May 2023, featuring the singles ‘Virgo Rising’ and ‘Moon In Aries’. Her colourful command of sound has also seen her perform at festivals including Creamfields, Lost Village, Lovebox, and the music and fitness focused festival, Lovefit.
