Premiere: EMÆNUEL ‘Salt Heart’

Redstone Press are releasing a new V/A compilation, ‘Feeling Everything, All At Once’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to emænuel’s contribution, ‘Salt Heart’, below.

For their tenth release, the Glaswegian label bring together buzzy newcomers and roster mainstays for a new club-wise compilation celebrating Scotland-based electronic talent. Spanning 14 cuts, ‘Feeling Everything, All At Once’ marks the label’s most extensive release yet, and reaches across similarly eclectic roster of sounds, from blistering breaks and bass, to glitchy techno, dark dubstep, and beyond.

Glasgow-based LWS steps up to tenderise the dance floor on the brain-skittering banger, ‘Jo’, while Zimbabwe-born, Aberdeen-based ELANDA flaunts her burgeoning percussive prowess on track five, ‘Glasgow Stint’. Elsewhere, Edinburgh’s SMIFF layers elastic bass beneath a sea of skittering breakbeats on his contribution ‘Turtleback’, and Glasgow-affiliated producer EMÆNUEL serves up his latest low-slung workout, ‘Salt Heart’, with an entrée of haunting experimental grooves. Other artists featured on the tracklist include Pseudopolis, Henry Greenleaf, Dansa, Adamantine Chains, and plenty more.

All profits from the compilation are being donated to the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). “Both Lewis & Ethan [co-founders of Redstone Press] have their own personal experiences with mental health difficulties and strongly believe that SAMH is absolutely vital in facilitating the provision and promotion of mental health care, support & information,” the press release reads.

Redstone Press’ ‘Feeling Everything, All At Once’ compilation is out tomorrow (23rd February). Pre-order the project here, and have an exclusive first listen to EMÆNUEL’s contribution, ‘Salt Heart’, below.
