Premiere: Bárbara Boeing & Sam Ruffillo ‘Tokyo Love Affair’

Bárbara Boeing will release her new EP, ‘Memoir’, later this month on Toy Tonics. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Tokyo Love Affair’ with Sam Ruffilo below.

A year on from her uplifting debut EP, ‘Brasiliana’, the Curitiba-born, Milan-based producer returns with four new radiant club tools distilled from elements of balearic, Italo house, disco, Zouk and more. The project’s kaleidoscopic palette reflects a year spent touring across the globe, from Gop Tun in São Paulo to Lincolnshire’s Lost Village, as well as her much anticipated North America debut.

Second single, ‘Tokyo Love Affair’, is set for release next week (7th October), encompassing soul-searching house grooves and bumping drums, alongside a synth-heavy refrain inspired by Boeing’s recent tour across Asia. The track features Toy Tonics co-founder Sam Ruffillo, and just like the EP’s first track, ‘Pantelleria’, is destined to be a proper dancefloor charmer.

Last year, the artist launched her fast-growing party series, Bárbara Boeing Convida, which sees her inviting artists she admires to play alongside her in different spots across the globe. The latest edition featured a night of unfiltered grooves in Milan with CC:DISCO!, ahead of upcoming parties in Lisbon, São Paulo, Paris and London. “I just love to bring my music to people,” she said. “Showing people music is the thing that makes me the happiest.” Check out Boeing’s full live schedule here.

‘Memoir’ is out 1st November via Toy Tonics. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Tokyo Love Affair’ (out 8th October) with Sam Ruffilo below.
