Premiere: Bákayan ‘Ten Minutes’

On the follow-up to last month’s ‘Rebelz’ two-tracker, the Berlin-based Turkish DJ and producer delivers another dose of organic house heat, this time loaded with sprightly pan flutes, subaquatic strobes and deep, sub-bass frequencies. Tailormade for sunset shindigs, the release – landing this Friday (16th May) – feels deeper and more stylistically refined than Bákayan’s previous work, effortlessly smudging the lines between organic and electronic sounds, and delivering starry-eyed house goodness at every turn.

The track follows releases on labels including AXEPT, Marginalia and Stil Vor Talent, as well as a slew of recent DJ sets in Ibiza, Amsterdam, Las Vegas and beyond. This past year, Bákayan has also been busy spotlighting emerging artists through his immersive event series, ALA BØRA. The most recent edition of the “vibrant gathering” took place at Berlin nightspot ÆDEN, in partnership with Indiskret, and featured guest DJs including Groove Shack, Sweet G, Jane Rysse and more.
