PinkPantheress announces new mixtape, ‘Fancy That’, shares single and video, ‘Tonight’: Watch

PinkPantheress is back with the video for her new single, ‘Tonight’, the first track to be lifted from her forthcoming mixtape, ‘Fancy That’. Listen to it below. 

‘Tonight’ was written and produced by PinkPantheress, alongside aksel arvid and Count Baldor. The video, directed by Charlotte Rutherford, plunges the bedroom pop star back into the regency era with powdered wigs, corsets and candlelit banquets. Speaking about the single, PinkPantheress commented: “I’m so excited to finally bring out the first single of my new project, i hope everyone has as much fun listening to it as i do”.

‘Fancy That’, the artist’s second mixtape, will land on 9th May. The nine-track release features additional contributions from the likes of phil, Oscar Scheller and The Dare, and is described as a step into a “fun and kitsch-y era, rooted in British culture”. It features samples of tracks by Panic! at the Disco, Jessica Simpson and Basement Jaxx. 

Speaking about the mixtape, PinkPantheress said: “Announcing this tape marks a huge milestone for me as an artist, this feels like the most tied together project i’ve applied myself to as an artist and for my fans who have been with me for years, I hope they can hear the signs of growth in me as an artist.”

To celebrate the news of new release, PinkPantheress has also announced a two night residency at the O2 Academy in Brixton for later this year. She will play the iconic venue on 18th and 19th September. Those who pre-order ‘Fancy That’ via this link by 9th April at 5pm BST for will get access to exclusive pre-sale tickets, while general sale goes live 14th April at 10am BST via this link.

This is PinkPantheress’ first new solo track since ‘Turn It Up’ last May and follows on from a recent appearance on ‘True Religion’ by ShyGirl and a feature on the ‘Mash-Up’ version of ‘CRAZY’ by LE SSERAFIM alongside Dashaun Wesley. She also appeared on Kaytranada’s ‘TIMELESS’ album, also released last year.

The new project will be her first since 2023’s ‘Heaven Knows’.
