Orbital and Confidence Man link up on new single, ‘Re-lush’: Listen

Orbital and Confidence Man have joined forces on a new track, called ‘Re-lush’.

Serving as a rework of Orbital’s classic ’90s cuts ‘Lush 3-1’ and ‘Lush 3-2’, which both appeared on their 1993 ‘Brown Album’, the track features vocals from Confidence Man’s Janet Planet, as well as production by fellow member Sugar Bones. Its release follows Orbital’s recent remix of Confidence Man’s own track ‘Far Out’.

Of the collaboration, Orbital said in a statement: “Confidence Man have done that rare but always strived for thing with a remix; it’s totally Lush, totally Orbital, totally modern, and totally Confidence Man! How did they manage to get all that into one track! I’m even going to nick bits of it for when we play festivals over the summer, that’s how much we love it!”

Confidence Man added: “‘Lush’ is one of our favourite dance tracks of all time, so we were like rabid dogs with the stems in our hands. Kids in a cooked candy store. Dreams really do come true if you dream hard enough, and we’re proof.”

Confidence Man first teased a potential collaboration with Orbital in March of this year when they told NME that they’d be getting together in the studio with the duo soon.

Orbital’s ‘Brown Album’ will be getting a reissue, featuring bonus material, on Friday, 23rd May.
