Odesa electronic music platform Kiiberborea launches streaming series for Ukrainian aid
Odesa-based music platform Kiiberborea has launched a streaming mix series for Ukrainian aid.
An official statement from the team behind the project reads: “The situation in Ukraine is very difficult. Some people have lost access to food and drinking water, some people have lost their homes and jobs, some children have lost their parents. So we have come together for a series of music streams on YouTube to help people affected by the war. All funds raised will be used to purchase essential goods for civilians. Income and cost reports will be provided.”
The project began on Tuesday 24th May at 7PM UK time, with eight mixes broadcast. Andriy Kostyukov, Justin, Tim Six, Ecology141, Diana Starshine, HASHIA, FRKTL, and TIBLISC were all featured on the first edition, each delivering a 30-minute long mix. Further instalments are confirmed for the following dates:
Tuesday 31st May — 7PM UK time
Tuesday 7th June — 7PM UK time
Tuesday 14th June — 7PM UK time
Artists including Bodya Konakov, founder of Kyiv based label ШЩЦ, Austin-based experimental artist and composer more eaze, Brussels breakbeat and abstract selector Laura Conant, Berlin soundscape creator Felisha Ledesma, South Korean club-ambient crossover expert bela, Mexican cultural curators Mim/Mitamine Lab, UK multimedia performance artist Ratiba Ayadi ft. Silentsongstress, and Aho Ssan, whose collaborative album with KMRU dropped earlier this year on Subtext are all involved.
