Nine-year-old DJ becomes youngest ever entrant to The DMC World Championships

DJ Michelle, a nine-year-old DJ from The United Arab Emirates, has become the youngest ever entrant to the DMC World Championships.

She will be representing the UAE at the DMC World Portablist DJ Championships. Introduced in 2018, the competition showcases the world’s DJ Scratch skills on portable turntables and vinyl records. You can watch her entry video below.

Other entrants so far for the DMC World Portablist DJ Championships include Swordz from Belgium, Jose Rodriguez from Spain, DJ Happee from USA, Speedy Sloth from UK, Flame DJ from Indonesia, Daddy Turntable from Germany, Fabri-Ghost from Italy and Vital from Nepal. Applications to the competition are open until tomorrow (29th April).

The DMC World DJ Championships, sponsored by Technics, is an annual DJ competition which began in 1985. Last week, DMC revealed dates and scheduling for the eight categories in this year’s competition.
