New open-air venue, The Lot, launches in Hackney Wick

A new open-air avenue has opened in East London.

The latest addition to London’s alfresco offerings, after London club Colour Factory opened its new outdoor space in Queen’s Yard earlier this month, HWK’s new terrace space The Lot in Hackney Wick is now open.

After hosting a series of opening parties last week with events featuring DJs from RAW SILK and Not An Animal Records, The Lot is now taking bookings for tables of four or six, with CMT, Donna Leake, Rory Phillips and Lezure scheduled for sets in the coming weeks.

Earlier this month it was announced that a new music venue would be coming to Birmingham. Housed in a building formerly home to the city’s Birmingham Ballroom and Birmingham Academy, the newly renovated, multi-faceted 3,500-capacity Forum — a venue designed with DJs and live electronic acts in mind — is getting ready to open for summer.
