New LCD Soundsystem track, ‘X-Ray Eyes’ debuted on NTS Radio: Listen

LCD Soundsystem’s new track ‘X-Ray Eyes’ was premiered via NTS Radio yesterday, October 22nd. Listen to it below.

Following a busy touring schedule, including a performance at Glastonbury this summer, the track was played during the Soup To Nuts show, hosted by DJ anu, who mentioned that the song “will be dropping soon.”

A rough recording of the track quickly surfaced on Reddit, uploaded by user @Leotardleotard. While details surrounding the official release of ‘X-Ray Eyes’ are yet to be confirmed, the track marks LCD Soundsystem’s first new single since their 2017 album ‘American Dream’.

In the years following ‘American Dream,’ the band has released remix packages, live recordings and contributed to soundtracks. Their most recent release was ‘New Body Rhumba,’ a song for the White Noise movie soundtrack in 2022. Before that, the band had remained largely focused on live performances, holding residencies in the likes of New York, London, Boston and Philadelphia, as well as releasing ‘Electric Lady Sessions,’ an album of live studio recordings.

LCD Soundsystem will embark on a US tour starting on October 31st. Listen back to anu’s Soup To Nuts show below, with ‘X-Ray Eyes’ debuting around the 19:40 mark.
