New DJ booking app launches

Update 18/10/2022: This story previously stated that DJAAYZ was the world’s first DJ booking app. This is incorrect and has been amended.

A new DJ booking app, DJAAYZ, has been launched.

Cathy Guetta has teamed up with Raphaël Aflalo to create DJAAYZ, a free-to-download application for smartphones that offers customers the opportunity to book from more than 1000 DJ profiles selected by professionals.

Currently available in the UK and France, the app caters to all genres of popular music, from electro, pop and rock, to Latin music and beyond.

Offering full transparency, each DJ represented on the app has a dedicated profile page, featuring a bio, photos/videos, social links, and a rating assigned by users. The interface also allows users to indicate the date and location of their event, as well as the desired style of music and allocated budget – ranging from €200 to €3,000.

In a statement, Guetta said: “I want to give everyone the opportunity to have access to a professional DJ because music is the success of a successful party.”

The app can be downloaded now via the Apple app store and Google Play. DJs based in the UK and France can also register for the service here.

A subscription-based online DJ academy app, SeeDJ, launched last year.
