Moving Still shares new EP, ‘Close to the Shams’: Listen

Moving Still has released his new EP, ‘Close to the Shams’, via Bordello A Parigi. Listen to it below.

The Saudi-Irish DJ and producer’s latest release takes its name from an Arabic phrase meaning ‘Close to the Sun’ and was inspired by the changing of the seasons and the birth of his daughter. Across the EP’s four tracks, he blends percussive Dabke rhythms with Italo disco influences, pumping house grooves, breaks and his trademark arpeggiated basslines.

A launch event for the release was held at Dublin’s Fidelity Studio last week, where he was joined by Tara Kumar, Sally Cinnamon, Sahana, and Mango.

The new four-track EP follows last year’s ‘Ouddy Bangers Vol 2’ edit pack and its 2021 predecessor, ‘Ouddy Bangers Vol 1’.
