Moog unveils new entry-level synth, Messenger

Moog is rolling out a new entry-level synth.

Building on the circuitry of other Moog monosynth models, such as the Minimoog Model D and the Voyager, the Moog Messenger is a mono analogue synth updated with “modern features” that lend themselves to first-timers, with “clearly labeled controls” and an intuitive layout.

Intended for use either on stage or in the studio, the Messenger is fitted with two oscillators (VCOs), a sub-oscillator, a 64-step sequencer, an “intuitive” in-built arpeggiator, 32 semi-weighted full-size keys, and 256 presets.

“With Messenger, we aim to honour Moog’s rich heritage while embracing the future of analogue synthesis,” Moog Music president Joe Richardson told MusicTech. “This instrument is crafted for musicians and producers seeking a portable, powerful monosynth that delivers the iconic Moog sound, enhanced with modern features and intuitive controls.”

The Messenger will be available at select retailers worldwide from 2 June 2025 and will be priced at €849/$899. Find out more about the synth over at the Moog site here.
