Ministry of Sound curates Ibiza-themed chillout mix series with meditation app, Calm

News

Ministry of Sound has partnered with sleep and meditation app Calm for a new series of chillout-focused mixes.

The project, titled ‘Chillout Sessions’, consists of three bespoke relaxation mixes, along the themes of ‘Ibiza (Calm Mix), ‘Energy (Calm Mix)’ and ‘Clarity (Calm Mix).

The ‘Ibiza (Calm Mix)’, particularly, draws on Ministry of Sound’s connection with the Ibiza club scene, drawing on the chillout vibe of the White Isle that you might expect to experience during sunset at Café del Mar or anywhere else on the island’s Sunset Strip.

‘Chillout Sessions’ is available through the Calm app from today (15th July). You can download the app through your phone’s respective app service, and find out more about Calm here.

The partnership between Ministry of Sound and Calm is part of an increasing focus on mental health and wellness within the electronic music industry. Read DJ Mag’s 2019 feature on dance music’s mental health crisis here.

Ministry of Sound Classical is also set to return later this year, with a celebration of the clubbing institution’s 30th anniversary taking place at London’s O2 Arena in November.
