Miami under flash flood warning as Ultra Music Festival reopens
Miami has been placed under a flash flood warning as Ultra Music Festival has reopened following a temporary closure earlier today (30th March).
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue shared a post on X.com that urged people to “avoid walking or driving in flooded areas due to severe weather”.
“As #OurCounty is under a flash flood warning until 6 p.m., we remind our community to be safe and vigilant,” the post said. “Avoid walking or driving in flooded areas as you never know what hazards lie beneath the water. Continue keeping an eye on weather forecasts.”
Ultra Music Festival’s 25th anniversary edition was closed earlier today due to severe weather. On the final day of the festival, heavy rain and thunder storms in Miami — where the event is taking place in Bayfront Park from Friday 28th to Sunday 29th March — caused localised flooding.
