MasterSounds is ceasing production of its DJ mixers

MasterSounds has announced it is ceasing production of new DJ mixers, FX units and more in its current range of products.

Sharing the news on the company’s social media accounts yesterday (Tuesday 11th June), MasterSounds founder Ryan Shaw said, “As we hit mid-2024, I wanted to give everyone reading this a heads up, to let you know that we are currently building our final units of MasterSounds DJ mixers, FX units, ISO4s and LinearPOWER supplies, once these are gone, we won’t be producing or selling any more of the above products, which I truly believe will become classics of the future.”

The company was founded in 2008, originally building turntable weights that stabilised playback and made it easier for DJs to pitch-bend vinyl. They have since branched out into other DJ equipment and became most famous for their portable rotary mixers, namely the Radius MK1, which was widely praised for its sound and build quality.

MasterSounds also built a high-end sound system called the Clarity M, designed for small venues and home use, providing a full stack solution for vinyl DJs from weights to mixers to PAs. It will continue to produce these sound systems, as well as “audio accessories and turntable sales and upgrades.”

In the statement announcing, Shaw reiterated that current owners of MasterSounds products would continue to experience after-sale support and that they were parting ways with their current production partner, Andy Rigby-Jones, founder of Union Audio and the creator of the legendary Xone:92 mixer for Allen & Heath.
