Manchester audiophile bar, NAM, has announced the programme for its Winter of Listening.
Located in Ancoats, the venue boasts a bespoke sound system, which features rare Klipschorn 80s heritage speakers and was developed by London-based team Brilliant Corners. The space also features an upstairs bar and Vietnamese restaurant, with a basement dedicated to music events.
DJs play Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and this month has already seen names including Ruf Cutz label and party boss Ruf Dug stop by.
Further down the line, El Diablo’s Social Club founder Neil Diablo, Tim Giles, Zeyla, Contrast, Ty Abiodun, and Tom Clarke are all billed to grace the booth. A new group of residents has also been confirmed, including Abigail Ward, Acidhousedeathsquad, Aletha, Andrea Trout, Be With Records, Contours, Danuka + Yadava, SNO, Kickin’ Pigeon, and Levi Love.
The latter — a mainstay of the Manchester club scene well known for supporting rising talent — has also been put in charge of NAM’s Monday Mix series. The platform will showcase archive live sets from the basement alongside new recorded mixes. Forthcoming contributions have been confirmed from heavyweights including Mr Scruff, Krysko, and James Holroyd. These will be shared to the venue’s Mixcloud page each week, while listings can be found on the Facebook page.
