Loraine James announces new EP on Hyperdub, ‘Nothing’

News

North London-based producer and artist Loraine James is releasing another record on Hyperdub, the EP ‘Nothing’.

With four tracks in total, the release promises shifting moods and emotions, tracking an arc from a low mood to a moment of clarity.

After publicly reaching out for collaborators who complement the feelings of her instrumentals, the record sees James working with Uruguayan singer and producer Lila Tirdo a Violeta, Farsi language rapper Tardast, and HTRK frontwoman Jonnine Standish.

Loraine James made her debut on Hyperdub with last year’s album ‘For You And I’, which we deemed the best album of the year. She was also nominated for Breakthrough Producer in our DJ Mag Best of British Awards 2019.

Listen to Loraine James’ haunted rework of Morwell’s ‘Eyes On Me’, released earlier this year, while you wait for the new EP to drop.

Stream first single ‘Don’t You See It?’ below.

Hyperdub will release Loraine James’ ‘Nothing’ in full on October 2nd 2020 – pre-order it here.
