Korg announce new portable poly sequencer SQ-64

News

Korg has announced a new step sequencer, the SQ-64. With dedicated buttons for every one of the 64 steps and four banks to choose from – three melody and one drum – there’s also pitch, gate and mod for each part, arpeggiator and various sequence modes, including random and reverse.

Round back, there are CV, Gate and Mod outputs for each of the three melody banks as well as 16 trigger outputs – eight via MIDI and eight via 3.5mm. The built-in OLED screen offers easy editing and feedback. The 64 pads can also be used as a scalable keyboard, like on Push or Maschine, so you don’t need another device to play in melodies. It also features USB port for use with software and your DAW of choice.

The Korg SQ-64 costs €299 and is available in 2021. Watch the video below for more.
