Karen Nyame KG releases new single, ‘Taboo’, via Black Acre: Listen

Karen Nyame KG has dropped a new single, ‘Taboo’, via Black Acre Records. Check it out below.

Described as a “sensual offering” that blends elements of amapiano, Afro house and Afrobeat, ‘Taboo’ explores KG’s “unapologetic self-expression and reflections on desire”, and features her own vocals and signature percussion.

Speaking about ‘Taboo’, the London DJ and producer said: “’Taboo’ is a sensuous, Afro groove-inspired, mystical take on forbidden love, I veer towards it anyways despite opposition. This is me being me. A celebration of existing loudly.”

The track follows the release of her ‘Sensei II’ EP via Black Acre last year.

The single, which is out now, also lands alongside acapella and instrumental versions, and is available via Bandcamp.
