John Summit hints at Martin Garrix collaboration during Tomorrowland interview
John Summit hinted at a possible collaboration with Martin Garrix during an interview with One World Radio at Tomorrowland.
The two artists have reportedly been spending a lot of time together, and when asked by One World Radio host AdamK if Summit was working on anything with Garrix in the studio, the US producer deflected the question to the studio audience, saying “I don’t know. Should it happen?” When the audience cheered in response, Summit said, “OK, I think the answer should be yes then.”
The pair also discussed a recent hike Summit and Garrix took together in Ibiza (pictured). “He’s, like, fucking crazy,” Summit said of the ‘Animals’ producer. “Because he took me in this cave, and I’m scared of heights so much, I was shaking. He had to coach me through it. So I didn’t realise how crazy he was.”
Summit later posted a video of himself raving in the crowd during Garrix’s main stage closing set on Friday.
Following up his 2024 debut album ‘Comfort In Chaos’, Summit first announced he was working on a new long-player in January. Taking to Instagram he wrote, “Been busy writing new album in london and Amsterdam past couple weeks.”
The post also revealed collaborators on the album will include UK drum & bass star Sub Focus, singers Camden Cox and Julia Church, and more.
Summit performed on Tomorrowland’s Freedom stage on Friday of weekend one, and returns on Friday of weekend two to play the main stage.
