Jamie Roy’s ‘Organ Belta’ reaches No. 1 in Beatport House charts after friends and fans campaign

Jamie Roy’s track ‘Organ Belta’ has reached No. 1 in Beatport’s House chart, following a campaign by friends, label mates and fans.

The much-loved Scottish DJ and producer, who passed away last week, originally released ‘Organ Belta’ via Patrick Topping’s Trick label in September last year.

As well as Jamie’s friends and fans, label boss Patrick Topping, Jess Bays and Leftwing : Kody all backed the campaign, with Solid Grooves’ Michael Bibi, Richy Ahmed and East End Dubs all playing the track in Ibiza this week.

You can buy ‘Organ Belta’ here. All proceeds from the Beatport sales will be donated to Jamie’s family.

A regular on Glasgow’s underground house and techno circuit in his formative years, Jamie went on to become an Ibiza fixture and favourite, performing at Pacha, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Amnesia, Ibiza Rocks and DC-10. He also performed at this year’s Unum festival in Albania, Terminal V, BPM Costa Rica and Abode’s UK events.

A much-loved industry figure and well respected producer, Jamie released records on labels including Ultra, Toolroom, Patrick Topping’s Trick and Repopulate Mars, as well as Kaluki Music and Lost Audio.
