Honey Dijon shares new video for ‘Stand’ featuring Cor.Ece: Watch

Honey Dijon has released a new music video for her track ‘Stand’, which features vocals by Cor.Ece, taken from her LP ‘Black Girl Magic’ via Classic Music Company. Check it out below.

Shot in Puerto Rico, the video follows a group of dancers as they move through industrial landscapes and city streets in open-top cars. It also features LA-based vocalist and songwriter Cor.Ece, who directs and stars in the video.

The video was created as part of the YouTube Black Voices Fund, launched in 2020 to support Black creators, artists, songwriters and producers. It will be the first of three videos created by Honey and Cor.Ece for the programme.

Speaking to the New York Times, Honey Dijon explained that the track embodies the political protest movement, saying: “It’s about standing up for your belief system.” Cor.Ece also said: “‘Stand’ is a story about being down, but not staying down; about the capacity to sink and float, yet floating despite the many reasons to sink.”

Last year, Honey Dijon shared a music video for her single ‘It’s Quiet Now’ featuring Dope Earth Alien, which also appears on ‘Black Girl Magic’. She also ranked No.90 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll in 2022

The Chicago-raised DJ and producer is set to play Neopop Festival in Portugal this August, alongside Charlotte de Witte, Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and more.
