Girls Don’t Sync share debut single, ‘Come Thru’, via new label Fourmation Records
Girls Don’t Sync are gearing up to release their debut single, ‘Come Thru’, on their new label Fourmation Records. Have an exclusive first listen to the track below.
On the heels of their debut edits EP, ‘4×4’, released in April, the all-female DJ collective — made up of Matty Chiabi, Sophia Violet, Hannah Lynch, and G33 — are set to return with their inaugural single. Set for release tomorrow (1st November), ‘Come Thru’ harnesses the fearless collective energy of their DJ sets into a storming, garage house weapon. It’s crafted from playful yet punchy kicks, sumptuous piano melodies and a rallying vocal sample that beckons ravers to “nice up the dance”.
“Working together to create something that collectively excites us, being in the room together during the making of ‘Come Thru’, offered us that same energy as when we play; fast-paced, experimental and personal,” explained Gaia (AKA G33). “There is nothing better than when we hit those final embellishments of the track that collectively made us all go: ‘That’s it!’ The power of collaboration will always be at the core of what we do!”
“Our genre often relies on samples and remixes, so the idea of creating something entirely original was daunting at first. But, by using references and inspirations from across the musical spectrum, we were able to craft a track that feels both timeless and fresh,” added Sophia (AKA Sophia Violet).
Girls Don’t Sync have been booting down barriers in dance music since 2021 with their unrivalled synergy and community-building ethos. This year alone, the collective have played sold-out shows at KOKO in London and Manchester’s The Warehouse Project, and their debut single arrives ahead of their huge upcoming Fourmation tour.
