Four Tet teases release of much-hyped 3LW edit: “The sample has been cleared”

Four Tet has taken to Instagram to tease the long-awaited release of a new track of his.

This week, the UK artist posted a clip of a turntable playing a vinyl copy of the track ‘No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)’, which was originally released by US group 3LW in 2000. Its vocal forms the basis for a new cut by Four Tet, which has been garnering a lot of attention in recent months after appearing in his DJ sets, as well as in radio and club sets by the likes of Ben UFO and Avalon Emerson.

Following months of speculation around the track on Facebook music ID groups, he’s now told fans that “the sample has been cleared”, clearing the way for a full release.

It’s not yet known when the track might eventually see release, but you can bet it will continue to soundtrack a number of festival sets as the summer approaches.

Find Four Tet’s Instagram post below, as well as the original track. You can also hear Four Tet’s take on the song at the 1:39:00 mark of his set from last summer’s Lost Village festival.

In February, Four Tet announced that he would be taking over London’s Finsbury Park this summer for an all-day event.

Two of his collaborations with Burial also received a first-time digital release in February.
