Flume releases surprise album of unheard music from the past decade: Listen

Flume has dropped a surprise album of previously unheard music from throughout his career, marking ten years since his debut album. You can hear the tracks below.

The Grammy-winning artist unveiled ‘Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan’ this week, which features collaborations with Injury Reserve, Panda Bear and Isabella Manfredi. He also announced a headline US show at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Friday 5th May, with support from Chet Faker and Kučka confirmed.

Artist pre-sale begins Monday 13th February 10AM PT, with general tickets available from 12PM the same day. Register here.

The new record of old work was compiled by raiding hard drives packed with tracks that never made it onto long players. An idea inspired, at least in part, by responses to ‘Slugger 1.4 [2014 Export.WAV]‘. The six year old single arrived late last year in the wake of May’s critically acclaimed, now six-time ARIA-nominated third album, ‘Palaces‘.

Listen to ‘Things Don’t Always Go The Way You Plan’ below, then revisit DJ Mag’s long read interview with Flume around his last album.
