fabric releases limited edition football shirt with MEYBA

London club fabric has released a limited edition football shirt in partnerships with cult sports brand MEYBA to celebrate the venue’s 25th birthday.

The merchandise will be available through the fabric online store from Wednesday 2nd October, with limited stock up for grabs. More will then be sold throughout the club’s quarter centenary weekend, Friday 11th – Monday 14th October.

“MEYBA as a brand holds a special place for me personally. I absolutely treasured my 1985 Barcelona away kit, it seemed so exotic, so cool and I felt so special having something so different from the other kids growing up in Kent in the mid ‘80’s,” said Cameron Leslie, fabric’s Director.

“So when the opportunity came up to collaborate with such a cult brand to produce our first ever fabric football shirt I jumped at the opportunity,” they continued. “To be able to create something completely bespoke with detailing so in keeping with what we believe fabric to be has been a real pleasure for the team involved. Thanks to MEYBA for letting us do what we wanted!”

Earlier this month, a new book celebrating fabric’s enduring 25-year-legacy was announced, which will go on sale in December. A celebration of “the misfits and visionaries who made it happen”, the publication was written by prominent dance music journalist Joe Muggs and contains more than 100 personal testimonies from artists and associates who are close to the venue, with a foreword by Annie Mac and Bill Brewster contributing to the introduction.

In August, fabric announced the first names set to play its 30-hour birthday celebration, which runs non-stop from Saturday 12th to Monday 14th October. Ricardo Villalobos, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Sonja MOonear, Ben UFO, Anna Wall, FJAAK and Peach have all been confirmed. Meanwhile, the brand’s world tour continues to take over respected institutions across the globe as part of the 25 year celebrations. Sub Club in Glasgow, FUSE Brussels, Lisbon’s Lux Club, and Tresor, Berlin have all hosted events
