Edge Slayer announces new album, 'Tsureena'

News

Edge Slayer has announced her forthcoming album.

The Louisiana-born, Atlanta-based artist — real name Zarina Crockett — released her most recent EP, ‘Dark Thoughts’, in September last year, and returns with ‘Tsureena’ to explore “lurid sexcapades, speculation, and affirmation” through a blend of electronic, pop and R&B.

Speaking about the record, which she produced during the global lockdown period of the last 18 months, Crockett said: “A lot of my music has to do with desirability. It’s written for women or any person who has felt undesirable or lied to or who doesn’t feel like their needs are being met.”

Ahead of the LP’s full release, Crockett has shared a preview of track ‘Waves’, which features the artist’s own vocals set against a backdrop of recorded sea sounds.

Check out the preview below, and pre-order single ‘Waves’, which will be released via Berlin’s Interference Pattern on 22nd August, here.
