EDC Las Vegas announces digital event in space of cancelled festival
News
In the wake of its official cancellation this month due to the COVID-19 pandemic, EDC Las Vegas has announced a virtual festival to take place the same weekend.
Originally scheduled to take place from 15th – 17th May, the “real life” EDC has been postponed until October at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In the meantime however, the team behind the event are planning a fully-online festival to keep housebound fans entertained in its originally scheduled slot.
Few further details have been given so far about EDC LAs Vegas’ #VirutalRaveAThon, with no line-up or time frame being given as yet. However, fans are being invited to get involved in the lead up by entering a flyer design competition for the virtual event. Learn more about that here.
EDC Las Vegas is the latest festival that is taking itself into the virtual world in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the wake of its cancellation, Burning Man revealed that it would be hosting an online edition of its annual gathering this year.
