E-Saggila has announced a new album, ‘Gamma Tag’. The LP will drop on 26th January 2024. You can listen to the title track below. 

Set to arrive via Sweden’s Northern Electronics, the Iraq-born, Toronto-based artist’s previous releases on the label include ‘My World My Way’ and ‘Blaze’. Other work has found a home with the likes of Hospital Productions, Opal Tapes, and her own Summer Isle imprint, while earlier this year she contributed to a Tresor compilation marking the pivotal German techno label’s 350th release.

E-Saggila‘s latest effort builds on her reputation for highly detailed, percussion-heavy leftfield techno, electro, and industrial noise, marrying often melancholic ambient tones with elements of gabber, footwork and breakbeat. Spanning multiple tempos, influences including dub, IDM, and drum & bass are more than audible in the album’s first single.
