Dolby Atmos House announces free ADE programme with New Order, Armin Van Buuren, Carista, more

Dolby Atmos House has announced the return of its free audio-focused programme at ADE 2024.

The two-day event – described as a  “playground for sound enthusiasts” – will run on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th October at Amsterdam’s TOBACCO Theater. Dolby Atmos House visitors can get involved in listening sessions, talks, a live concert, mixing workshops and more, led by some of the biggest names in electronic music. The programme is free and open to everyone, although capacity is limited.

On Thursday afternoon (17th October), Dutch label giants Armada Music will take over the TOBACCO Theater with a series of up-close listening sessions in Dolby Atmos featuring Armin van Buuren, Joris Voorn, Kelli Leigh and Eelke Kleijn. This will be followed up by a session with singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Ela Minus.

Thursday will also feature workshops led by Ferry Corsten, STMPD studios, Fiedler Audio and Ableton, where participants can dive deep into the art of multidimensional mixing in Dolby Atmos, as well as a live recording of the Will Clarke Podcast. The evening will wrap up with a unique concert by Dutch artist LudoWic in Dolby Atmos live, supported by STMPD studios.

On Friday (18th October), Dolby Atmos House will host intimate listening sessions with new wave titans New Order, alongside producers CARISTA, SEFA & Ran-D, and LP Giobbi, Ela Minus and composer Joep Beving (presented by ConcertLab). The day will end with a session hosted by Apple Music x DJ Bone.

This year’s Dolby Atmos House programme will be divided across the four unique spaces. Live concerts and listening sessions will take place in the Listening Theatre – powered by STMPD studios, and supported by JUR and CLEVER°FRANKE – where attendees can enjoy the Dolby Atmos sound in its full capacity and get up close and personal with artists.

The Mixing Studio – powered by Neumann.Berlin – will host the programme’s hands-on sessions, offering participants a chance to discover the technical secrets of mixing, whilst Dolby Atmos will shed light on the art of elevating at-home listening in the Living Room, supported by Ambilight TV. Finally, the Hangout area will offer a relaxing space where visitors can unwind with refreshments and experience Dolby Atmos tracks at the Device Bar.

Dolby Atmos House will be open to the public at the TOBACCO Theater as part of ADE daily from 9:30AM to 6PM (CET) on Thursday 17th October and till 7PM (CET) on Friday 18th October. Explore the full Dolby Atmos House program here, and keep an eye out for more artists set to be announced shortly.

The 28th edition of Amsterdam Dance Event will take place from 16th–20th October, hosting more than 3000 artists across 200 venues in the Dutch capital. ADE passes and a full schedule can be found here.
