DJ Babatr, Nick León, Loris and Paurro remix Matias Aguayo’s ‘El Camarón’ on new EP

DJ Babatr, Nick León, Loris and Paurro have remixed Matias Aguayo’s ‘El Camarón’ on a new EP.

Following the 2022 remixes of ‘El Camarón’ by Ricardo Villalobos and Matias Aguayo himself via his own label, Cómeme, the four artists have stepped up to pay tribute to the legendary “Latin Body Music” tune.

The EP moves from DJ Babatr’s raptor house rework through Loris’ “Middle Eastern and tropical rhythm and sound” to “fat and dirty house beats” from Paurro. Last but not least, there’s a cut from Nick León, whose “modern takes on Latin rhythms have been stirring up dancefloors all over the globe”.

“After the 2022 resurgence of ‘El Camarón’, seminal Latin Body Music anthem: We are back with this tribute to the highly influential impact that Cómeme means on the historical timeline of electronic dance music in Latin America with a banging and slightly insane remix pack,” wrote Cómeme on Instagram.
