The nominees have been announced for the 2021 Grammy awards.

Among the categories, of which there are over 80, the five nominees up for both Best Dance Recording, and Best Dance/Electronic Album, have been named in The Grammy’s list shared yesterday (24th).

Those up for awards in the Best Dance Recording category, which includes solo, duo, group and collaborative performances, are UK duo Disclosure have been nominated for their album track ‘My High’, which features Aminé and slowthai, alongside Jayda G’s ‘Both Of Us’, and Kaytranada and Kali Uchis’ ‘10%’. Diplo & SIDEPIECE have also recieved a nomination, as has Australian bass artist Flume.

Elsewhere, in the Best Dance/Electronic Album, Venezuelan artist Arca has been nominated for her recent project ‘KICK I’, and Baauer’s ‘Planet Mad’, released via LuckyMe in June this year, has also recieved a nod. Kaytranada and Disclosure are both up for best album as well as recording, for ‘Energy’ and ‘Bubba’ respectively, with Madeon’s ‘Good Faith’ completing the category.

The 2019 Grammy awards saw UK duo The Chemical Brothers take home the award for Best Dance Album for their 2019 album ‘No Geography’, and Best Dance Recording for album track, ‘Got To Keep On’.

The other nominees for Best Dance Recording included Bonobo,with ‘Linked’, alongside Italian production trio Meduza, for their collaborative effort with Goodboys. Rüfüs Du Sol was also up for the award with ‘Underwater’, as were Skrillex & Boys Noize for ‘Midnight Hour’, which features rapper Ty Dolla $ign.

Australian bass star Flume’s ‘Hi This Is Flume (Mixtape)’ saw a nomination for Best Dance Album, as well as Apparat’s ‘LP5’.
