David Guetta and K-Pop group IVE sample Ryuichi Sakamoto on new single, ‘Supernova Love’: Listen

David Guetta has teamed up with K-pop group IVE for a new single, ‘Supernova Love’.

The song samples the late Ryuichi Sakamoto’s 1983 single ‘Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence’, and is described by Guetta as “a global anthem that celebrates the strength and beauty of love across cultures”.

Speaking further about the track, he added: “Collaborating with IVE was an incredible experience. K-pop is such a unique and innovative genre, and bringing our musical worlds together was truly inspiring.”

IVE said: “Collaborating with David Guetta was truly fun and we feel honoured to be able to release such a great song with a beautiful melody.”
