Daniel Avery shares video for new album track ‘Higher' featuring SHERELLE: Watch
Daniel Avery has shared a new track, ‘Higher’, from his forthcoming album, ‘Ultra Truth’. Check out the video below.
The ravey, breakbeat-led track opens with a voice note from SHERELLE, speaking about the importance of emotional catharsis in music.
Speaking about working with the UK dynamo on the track, Avery said: “Sherelle is a supernova artist and someone who always marches to the beat of her own drum”.
It’s one of several collaborative tracks on ‘Ultra Truth’, which also features HAAi, Kelly Lee Owens, James Messiah, and AK Paul, with production nods from Ghost Culture and Manni Dee.
‘Ultra Truth’ will be released on 4th November. Pre-order it here.
Avery drew inspiration from his teenage musical loves, citing Deftones, Portishead, and Nick Cave as well as the films of David Lynch as influences on the album. There’s also a tribute to the late-Andrew Weatherall, ‘Lone Swordsman’, which was originally released as a single following the UK electronic legend’s passing in 2020.
