Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter spotted in the studio with Lil Nas X

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter is rumoured to be in the studio with Lil Nas X, at least if a recent Tik Tok is anything to go off. 

In a studio video shared by the rapper and vocalist earlier this week, eagle-eyed fans spotted a man who appears to be  Bangalter in the background with a guitar. While no other info or evidence of the pair collaborating has surfaced, fans on social media have voiced their excitement about the potential partnership. Check out the video below. 

It’s the first alleged appearance from one of Daft Punk in the studio since they announced their split in February 2021, though Bangalter is also working on the score for a new ballet, Mythologies.  Since their split, Daft Punk have been sharing archive footage online, including a rare, unmasked 1997 live set on Twitch and a storyboard for their iconic ‘Around The World’ video.
